A seasoned performer Thaiwanda has garnered his experience from his early years breaking into the entertainment business in the 2000s as a dancer, competing internationally; to later transitioned into music in high school and shortly after TV presenting, over the years allowing him to hone his skills and experience as the entertainer he is today.
With a degree in brand communication specialising in art direction, the all-around creative is not only a producer but is also a composer, songwriter. As an artist and Thaiwanda’s own music and music he has featured on have gone on to chart in various regions across Africa such as Zimbabwe, South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania and Kenya to name a few.
His anthemic hooks and melodies have made him a regular fixture on charts across the continent. His latest offering “Bangers And Mashups 4” a promotional covers and remixes project has received solid reviews from fans to major media outlets across Africa and earned him multiple features in some of the continents most prolific print and online magazine’s.
“Chankura” produced by Thaiwanda breaks into iTunes Top 10 Songs Chart within 24hrs of its release.
The single “No Stress” takes the award for SONG OF THE YEAR at the 2017 Zimbabwe Hip Hop Awards produced and co-written by Thaiwanda alongside Zimbabwean Hip Hop icon Tehn Diamond.
As a surprise guest act for a 20000+ sold out show, Thaiwanda joins Reason on stage alongside Riky Rick to perform MERCY for the first live at the Castle Lite Unlocks J Cole at the Ticket Pro Dome in Johannesburg.

2017 Kicked off with Thaiwanda featured as a headliner on a history-making 10 City Tour the first of its kind traveling across Zimbabwe alongside the countries premier artist brands Tehn Diamond, Ammara Brown and Simba Tagz, masterminded and orchestrated by Isio Africa in partnership with Zimboy Entertainment and NuTickets.
The rising star was Selected as an ambassador representing Zimbabwe and was featured in MTN’s Anti-ebola/Anti-Xenophobia Campaign that was later nominated for ANN7s South African of the year awards “Best African Campaign With A Message” held at the ticket Pro Dome. Amongst the 150 artists selected of Africa’s most elite talent included Steve Kekana, Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Diamond Platinums, Banky W, Patoranking, Praise to PJ Powers, Donald and Mafikizolo to name a few.
Thaiwanda later served a year-long ambassadorship with the TOMS Music Warehouse one of South Africa’s biggest retailers of music gear, this prompted Thaiwanda to convert his private studio to offer a broader range of production services.
Thaiwanda has gone on to be featured on Botswana TV’s Flava Dome and in the same week appeared on Botswana TV’s “My Star” as the shows first International Guest Judge earning the Mascom sponsored talent competition its highest ratings to date.
The singles “Party At my Crib” and “That Good Life” off his pan-African focused Audio Loop Project (AALOOP) featured in the 2012 Big Brother Africa Stargames the 2013 Big Brother Africa Chase playlist and entrance theme music for the housemates.
Thaiwanda went on to be selected as part of the panel for “MTN and MTV Base Meets” with Golden Globe Winner Idris Elba .
